Once Upon a Leaf was born from a simple ritual - two people, one pot of rooibos, and a conversation that never quite ended.
Behind this brand is a couple who found their way to tea long before they found their way to each other. He is a clinical psychologist, and through his work he sees something quietly urgent: a world that has grown increasingly disconnected. He understands, perhaps more than most, how much human beings need each other - and how rarely we give ourselves permission to slow down and connect.
She trained as a pastry chef, fascinated by the way food and drinks pull people together around a table. She's since built a career in marketing and tech, but that instinct - that a shared moment over something delicious is one of life's great gifts - has never left her.
Together, we share a deep, genuine love of tea. In fact, some of our earliest moments were spent sipping rooibos, talking for hours. That tradition carries on today.
Once Upon a Leaf grew from that belief: that the act of brewing and sharing a cup of tea or tisane is one of the most quietly powerful things one can do daily. It energises and it soothes. It marks a celebration and holds space on an ordinary weekday. There is a blend for every season, every mood, every meaningful moment - and we want yours to be the best it can be.
Every tea and tisane blend we carry from curated sources we know and love. Every blend is chosen with care. But what we're really curating is the story behind your cup - the memory it holds, the connection it creates, the small moments and the big ones and everything in between.
We'd love to hear yours.
